Abstract
It is difficult to produce and manage information for which there is no conceptual model and supporting tools. The results of the paper illustrate what design information concepts are specific for a modular product. This is also described as a conceptual model, because without it, the software-based tools cannot be developed. In addition to these, the methodology by which this design information is generated is discussed. This article does not deal with the actual development of the tool and its testing. They are the subject of future research.
